"First Snowfall", Summerside, PEI 2016
This is a Digital Reproduction Print of my original Acrylic Painting on Canvas 12x16.
Summerside offers a Baywalk Trail System with more than five kilometers of waterfront, with beautiful picturesque views, Green's Shore Beach, retail shops, eateries and lots of green space illuminated under period lighting as the sun sets. The Summerside boardwalk overlooks Summerside Harbour, Indian Head Lighthouse and Holman's Island.
Winters in PEI are moderately cold and long but are milder than inland locations, with clashes of cold Arctic air and milder Atlantic air causing frequent temperature swings. Snow days account for 30% of the rainy / wet days that average out to be 130 - 160 days a year.
A fresh blanket of sparkling snow makes Prince Edward Island anything but sleepy. Many Islanders enjoy winter sports: hockey, cross-country and alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing, tobogganing, ice skating, curling, snowmobiling, and horse and sleigh rides, just to name a few.
How could I not be inspired to paint the gorgeous landscapes in Prince Edward Island!!!
Available in 2 sizes: 8x10" and 11x14", both including a white border with artist signature and date for framing.
"First Snowfall" prints are packed in a cello sleeve against an archival mat board, shipped in a stay-flat mailer for safe travels to your door.
