Blockhouse Lighthouse”, Rocky Point, PEI.
This is a Digital Reproduction of my original Acrylic Painting on Canvas 16x20.
Blockhouse Point Lighthouse is located on the west side of the entrance to Charlottetown Harbour, overlooking the Northumberland Strait on the south shore of Prince Edward Island. Established in 1851, the lighthouse is considered the second oldest lighthouse of the shores of PEI.
The present lighthouse was built in 1876, serving as an outer harbor light for the Charlottetown Harbour. The Blockhouse Lighthouse is near to the Fort Amherst / Port La Joye National Historic Site on the southeast tip of the peninsula. The lighthouse is currently owned by the Canadian Coast Guard and they have recently refurbished it to its former glory.
How could I not be inspired to paint the gorgeous landscapes in Prince Edward Island!!!
Available in 2 sizes: 8x10" and 11x14", both including a white border with artist signature and date for framing.
"Blockhouse Lighthouse" prints are packed in a cello sleeve against an archival mat board, shipped in a stay-flat mailer for safe travels to your door.
